Sanctuary
We are working towards reversing Australia’s alarming fauna and flora extinction rate.
As you are probably aware, 100+ years ago, European settlers introduced numerous pest species into Australia that have decimated the indigenous plant and animal population. For instance, feral cats are estimated to kill over 1 billion native animals every year. To give you an idea about how bad things are; more than 2,000 species are currently on the endangered list in Victoria with 500 of those are considered critically endangered.
The Homeless Project has acquired bushland about 2 hours drive from Melbourne. It’s our goal to build a feral cat/ fox/ dog/ deer proof fence that will be several kilometers long and encompass roughly 20 acres. Once constructed, we can start to re-establish populations of critically endangered animals
We are currently seeking financial donors. If you require additional information or would like to discuss or visit the site, please make contact via email or call +61412220596.
